I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and tell you a little bit about me.

My Name is David Reynolds owner of Reynolds Swim School located in Deerfield Beach, FL.  I am originally from Topeka, Ks where I lived until I graduated from the University Of Kansas In 1996.  That is when I moved down here to The South Florida area and have been ever since.

I started my competitive swimming career when I was 5 years old and continued on past my NCAA swim career at KU to compete in Masters Swimming.  I began teaching lessons at the age of 15 during the summers I spent training with Ft Lauderdale’s National Swim Team at the International Swimming Hall of Fame under former Olympic Head Coach Jack Nelson, I taught there for 3 summers.  After my freshmen year of collage I decided to stay at home for the summers and with my parents blessing and support I began teaching lessons in their back yard pool.  I taught for 7 summers there and during that time I taught over 2000 children and adults.  Since moving to Florida I have continued to teach swimming.  

Currently I am a Fire Fighter/Paramedic with City of Ft Lauderdale and have been with them for 2 & half years. I do enjoy each and every day that I am on duty(sometimes the nights are a little tough.) but overall I do enjoy helping the people of Ft Lauderdale on a daily bases.  I have also been doing computer consulting as a Microsoft Professional for the past 10 years in the private sector.

This summer I have been given another great opportunity to teach lessons at my community pool located in the Waters Ways located in Deerfield Beach, where I have lived and have been a homeowner since 1997.  One of the reason that I have chosen to get back to a full summer of teaching lessons is unfortunately one of the downsides of my career with the Fire Department is that many times we see the end results of children that did not know how to swim. Unfortunately many of those accidents possibly could have been prevented with just one or two sessions of lessons. 

Please remember that it is up to you the parents to ensure that your child gets the education and skills they need in and around water to prevent a very sad & heartbreaking end.  If you don’t sign up with our school please just sign up somewhere reputable and give them a chance.
